John is the founder and President of Lass Advisory Services LLC. Prior to founding LAS in October 2014, John served as SVP of Strategy and Business Development for CUNA Mutual Group for ten years. Previously he was a strategy consultant with Hagberg Consulting Group and Boston Consulting Group. John’s recent practice has focused on the retail financial services sector and technology start-ups in Silicon Valley. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School where he graduated as a Baker Scholar and his BA from the University of Washington. John loves biking, hiking and music (rock – from a certain era). John lives in Seattle with his wife Lynn.
Peter advises our clients in capital structure formation, strategic planning, marketing and sales planning, and overall strategic alignment. For the past three decades Peter has worked closely with early-stage and mature firms in the Pacific Northwest and nationwide.
Peter began his career on Wall Street managing mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buyouts. His clients span multiple sectors including technology, retail, service, and manufacturing companies. Peter earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Princeton University. Peter lives on Mercer Island, Washington with his wife Tina.
John focuses on establishing the integrity of an organizations strategy then determining where and how leadership and culture support or impede the execution of strategy. John has worked with organizations throughout North American, Europe and Asia including a number of leading credit unions. His clients range in size from 50 to over 90,000 employees; industries include financial services, pharmaceuticals, technology, defense, gaming, heavy manufacturing and some exciting startups. John has a BA in cultural anthropology from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Maharishi University of Management with an emphasis in organization development. John is a member of the International Coach Federation and has trained with The Coaches Training Institute and with New Ventures West.
